Lazy Vegetarian: Day 4

Breakfast. For those of you wondering why I only eat breakfast with Adele, it's because Ben gets up first with Fiona and they eat together, then I eat later with Adele. But this morning I got up first because Ben slept badly last night and I got to share the joy of breakfast with my eldest.

Here she is having a cry because I only let her watch one episode of Diego before breakfast. Delightful. In addition to that, latte. Toast.

Today was a daycare day for the girls and I accomplished important pizza related tasks for work. Ben had a mishap and spilled coffee on his pants so I met him at lunchtime with a clean pair. I was rewarded for this stellar display of wifely love with lunch at Panera.

Greek salad, tomato soup. Ben is anointing his sandwich with mustard and hot sauce.

After that I headed home to do some more work and have a cup of tea. And... what the heck?! What are those still doing in my house?!! Oh dear.

The girls and I went to the zoo after daycare and it was really hot! Apparently it was around 85 today and will be above 80 for the rest of the week. I made very poor outfit choices this morning based on my assumption that it was going to be in the 60s (where is should be in October) and as a result we were all way too warm in our sweaters.

So we cooled off when we got home with a popsicle.

Unrelated: When collecting the mail I noticed this... can you spot what's wrong with this picture?

Um... someone totally stole our doormat! So weird!! It was old and gross too, so it probably had all kinds of bugs living in it. Enjoy that, doormat thief.

While I was making dinner I noticed that Adele was trying to stand up! This is a HUGE step for her, until recently she has been completely unwilling to attempt to balance so trying to stand is a great achievement.

Dinner: Real recipe with ingredients!

Cheddar, gorgonzola, onion and tomato quiche*, roasted asparagus and twice baked potatoes.

*Quiche:
Premade pie crust (bake before filling).
4 eggs, splash of milk
desired fillings
seasonings

Whisk eggs and milk, mix in fillings, pour into crust, bake at 375 for around 40 minutes.
