Latest news

I am so tired of this endless winter. A week ago I was all set to make a post about how wonderful it was that we were FINALLY having some days above 40 and were out every day taking walks but I didn't get round to it, and then Minnesota said "don't get too comfortable..." and dropped 14 more inches of snow on us.

Still, I am clinging to the memory of taking those walks because who knows when we'll next see sidewalk... grass... hear birds chirping... have a look at these pictures of warmer times while I get a tissue to dry my big sad cold tears. I took these with my phone, which works surprisingly well!

Sidewalk!!

Fiona splashed in every puddle.

Lake: Still Frozen.

Anyway, the brief thaw is over, and now both girls are sick and I am sick. But other stuff has been happening too! Stuff to be happy about! So since it's been so long, here are our most recent highlights...

Adele has been making awesome progress in PT, and can pull herself to standing from sitting on a little stool, and is working really hard on learning to crawl. Here's a video of her standing...

And here's one of her working on crawling. I took this a couple of weeks ago, and she's better at it now, but still kind of using only her toes and fingertips to propel herself. Of course, Fiona is a HUGE help, as you'll see...

And if you're wondering - yes, this is what life is like in my house every. single. day. And all the shoes are out because Fiona wanted to wear ALL the shoes.

Fiona loves the carousel at the Mall of America with all her little girl heart. We go to the mall all the time just to get out of the house, and take a walk around. If you haven't been, it's huge, and great for window shopping and leg stretching. When Daddy comes with us, Fiona gets to sweet talk her way onto a ride.

It was my birthday, and I had a fun party with Ben's family. Cousin Jim came to visit on his US tour before his big move to New Zealand. We were so happy to see him, and are excited for his next big adventure, but we will miss him! Without Cousin Jim, I would not have met Ben, so he is always going to be an extra special person to us, no matter how far away he lives.

Ben taught Fiona how to play Forza Motorsport 3 on the XBox. She is actually pretty good at it, and loves to choose the car she drives. It's cute, but the last thing I need is for two people to be telling me how much they need a sports car...

Just look at that concentration!

We had a lovely Valentines Day celebration with our friends at Mommy Group. Fiona was so excited to give out the Valentines we made for her friends...

And had a great time at the music class that we went to there.

Other than that, we've just been hanging out. I have a lot of pictures to sort and upload, and in looking through them I found these, which I had forgotten I'd taken, and made me smile...

Belt of Tools

Eek! Too scary!!

And I think that's it for now!
