Pondering

Today I found myself faced with a serious existential question....

If you only have apples, is it still Sangria?

After a lovely afternoon walk in the sun with some awesome friends and a bevvy of well behaved children (bribed with the promise of swings for good conduct) this seemed like the perfect end to the day. But my pears were not ripe, my grapes had gone bad, and banana seemed inappropriate. So apple it was. But let's face it, the fruit's just there to make yourself feel better about drinking a giant jug of wine.

After finishing the wine and pointing the girls in the directions of their bedrooms I made Thai red curry for dinner. It was fast, easy and yummy.

I put some (imitation)* crab in there, which Ben liked, but I was not keen on.

*You know what's funny? Imitation crab is made from another kind of fish. It's pollock in disguise. Who would have thought the lowly pollock would turn out to be the transformers of the marine world?
