Our week so far

We've been busy doing all kinds of things this week... here are some of the things we have been up to so far...

Monday... we just hung out at home. Fiona took a bath, we played some games, sang some songs... Fiona decided she wanted to read two books at the same time...

On Tuesday our friend Tanya came over in the afternoon. It was warm enough for a walk, so we bundled up and took Brodie for a stroll. We walked to our local lake, which is still fairly frozen.

Then we walked along Minnehaha creek, which is a few blocks south of where we live. The river is thawed enough for the ducks to be swimming about, but they looked a little chilly. Brodie wanted to play with them, but we pressed on.

Then we headed home for some cups of tea and cookies (homemade by Tanya), and a blondie (purchased from the local bakery by Louise... I know, shameful...). I should have taken a picture, but we ate them too fast.

Wednesday... Fiona and I took the train to....

We met up with a local "Mom's" group and had a walk about and some coffee. Here are three fun facts about the mall...
1. Mall of America is big enough to hold 32 Boeing 747's.
2. Mall of America has more than 520 stores
3. If a shopper spent 10 minutes browsing at every store, it would take more than 86 hours to complete their visit to the mall.

Then in the evening Fiona had her 9 month checkup... she weighs 18 lbs now, and is 27 1/4 inches long. Her head is a massive 44cm in circumference. She's my little bobblehead baby...

And today was even more exciting... but that'll be a story for later because it's long, and Fiona has woken up from her nap and is demanding lunch.

Talk about a cliff hanger! What did you do today? Nothing much going on around here. Do you know about Ry's surprise birthday party tomorrow?
