(All that effort makes her sleepy!)
She's on 3 bottles a day now (out of 8 feedings), and they'll add another one every day or two depending on how she handles it. In addition to this, next week they are going to be doing all the tests and evaluations that I've been told they do prior to discharge, so hopefully we'll be able to take her home in the next couple of weeks! Exciting!
Fiona is also learning all kinds of new things... her new favourite thing is Elmo, and she'll stand by the TV and yell "Ehmo... Ehmo..." until I turn on Sesame Street for her. She also has a little book about Elmo that she likes to carry around with her. Here's a picture of her completely fascinated with watching Elmo on tv...
I tried to get her to smile for me but she was totally distracted and couldn't tear her eyes away from the screen!
So goofy!

Yay! Adele is such an a super baby! That's so exciting that she is "on the bottle". :) And Fiona, how is it that all kids love Elmo so much? What it is about the red furry creature?? I love her distracted smile!
Great update!
Hurray for Adele!
That's fantastic!! Go Adele! :D
Can't believe how much Adele has grown since the last time I read your blog. She really is a milk champ!! Can't wait for you to be able to bring her home. Do you know if you will have to do anything special there to care for her? I assume she's still more at risk for contracting illness and germs than full-term babies, right? Which prob means no MMAB visits. :( Hugs to you all!
I love the update! I love your family!
Hi Tanya! I'm not sure what it is about Elmo, but it keeps her entertained long enough for me to shower, so I'm happy about that!
Thanks Lori!
Hi Grandma! We're excited!
Hi C.L. Thanks!
Hi Kate! It'll depend on what she's doing when she comes home. We'll definitely be on germ alert, but I'm sure we'll still be able to come to some events. With hand sanitizer ;-)
Thanks Cathy!
